These terms govern the sale of copywriting services by copywritercircle, 23 Rte de Lyon, 42400 Saint-Chamond, France (support@copywritercircle.com, +33 6 95 68 95 64), to a client ("you") who orders a package through this site or agrees to a custom scope by email. Cancellation, refund and revision terms are set out in full in the separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, referenced throughout below.
1. The services
copywritercircle sells fixed-scope copywriting packages across seven service lines, each published on its own service page with a price, scope, revision count and turnaround. Work outside a published package — multi-brand rollouts, sites beyond 20 pages, regulated industries, NDA-bound work — is scoped and priced individually through /contact/ before it begins.
2. Placing an order
An order is placed by adding one or more packages to the cart and completing checkout. The contract between us is formed once your order is confirmed and you receive your order reference at the Confirmation step — not before. A custom-scope project agreed by email is contracted once both parties confirm the scope and price in writing.
3. Prices and VAT
All prices shown on this site are in euros, exclude VAT, and are labelled accordingly. French VAT (TVA) at 20% is added as a separate line at checkout. Prices are those in force at the time your order is placed; a price change afterward doesn't affect an order already confirmed.
4. Payment
Payment is due in full at checkout, or as a 40% deposit with the balance due on delivery of the final draft, for any package priced €1,500 or more. Monthly (retainer) packages are invoiced monthly once the engagement starts, not charged automatically from a stored card. For business clients, a late payment attracts statutory interest and a fixed €40 recovery indemnity for collection costs, as set out in Article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code.
5. Revisions and delivery
Each package includes the number of revision rounds stated on its page. A round covers changes to the draft already delivered — a different, unrelated draft is a new brief, scoped and priced separately. Extra revision rounds beyond those included are billed at €140/hour. Turnaround times are stated per package and run from the working day we receive everything we need from you; a project that stalls for more than 30 days awaiting your input may need to be re-scoped or re-priced. 6. Intellectual property
Full economic rights in the delivered copy transfer to you once the final invoice is paid in full — not before. copywritercircle keeps no usage rights beyond a named mention in its own portfolio, which you may decline at any time by telling us so in writing. Under French law, the moral rights an author holds in their own work are inalienable and remain with the writer regardless of the economic-rights transfer above.
7. Right of withdrawal (consumers only)
If you're ordering as an individual consumer rather than a business, French law gives you a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. Because copywriting work typically begins before that period ends, checkout asks individual clients to expressly waive this right for work they ask us to start immediately, as French consumer law requires (Code de la consommation, art. L221-25). Business clients do not have this right and are not asked to waive it.
8. Confidentiality
We don't discuss, publish, or share a client's brief, brand, or project content with anyone outside the studio without that client's permission.
9. Liability
Our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount actually paid for that order. We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by circumstances genuinely beyond its reasonable control.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force at the time you place an order is the one that applies to it. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version for any future order.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Saint-Étienne (Tribunal judiciaire de Saint-Étienne, or Tribunal de commerce de Saint-Étienne for a commercial dispute) — this doesn't affect a consumer's right, under mandatory French and EU consumer-protection rules, to bring a claim before the court where they live instead. A consumer may also refer a dispute to our appointed consumer mediator before going to court; the mediator's contact details are available on request at support@copywritercircle.com.
