Who we are

What we collect, and why
We collect only what we need to reply to you, deliver a project, or invoice it:
- Contact and enquiry data — name, email, phone, company, the content of a project brief — collected through the contact form and at checkout, to reply to an enquiry or deliver an order you've placed. Legal basis: performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering a question you've asked us.
- Billing data — billing address, country, and an EU VAT number if you give one — collected at checkout, to invoice an order correctly. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
- Project material — any brief, file link, or reference material you send us — used only to deliver the project it relates to. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Analytics data — pages viewed, general location, and device type, collected via Google Analytics 4, only once you've actively accepted analytics cookies through the cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. See the Cookie Policy for detail.
We do not collect payment card data. The checkout on this site runs a demonstration payment flow that never transmits or stores card details anywhere (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Payment step of checkout).
Who receives it
- Our hosting provider, to the extent needed to serve the site and store submitted form and order data.
- Google, as the processor behind Google Analytics 4, only for visitors who've consented to analytics cookies. Where this involves a transfer of data outside the European Economic Area, it relies on the standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under GDPR.
- No one else. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share a client's brief, brand, or project content with any third party without that client's permission.
How long we keep it
- Contact-form enquiries that don't lead to a project are kept for up to 3 years from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Order, billing and invoicing records are kept for 10 years, as French accounting law requires (Code de commerce, art. L123-22) — this applies even after a project is complete.
- Project briefs and files are kept for the duration of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterward, in case something needs re-sending, then deleted.
- Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics 4 for no longer than 13 months, in line with CNIL guidance, and only for visitors who've consented.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. Write to support@copywritercircle.com and we'll respond within the timeframe the law sets out. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés), France's data protection authority, at cnil.fr.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version is published here with a new "last updated" date. We won't reduce your rights under GDPR without telling you.
