Payment
You can pay in full at checkout, or, on any package priced €1,500 or more, a 40% deposit with the remaining 60% due on delivery of the final draft. Monthly packages are invoiced monthly, in advance of that month's work.
Revision rounds
Each package includes the number of revision rounds stated on its page — 1 or 2, depending which you buy. A round means marking up the draft you've received and telling us what to change within it; it doesn't mean starting over with a different brief. Extra rounds beyond those included are billed at €140/hour, agreed with you before we start them.
Cancelling before we've started
If you cancel before we've begun research or drafting, you get a full refund of what you've paid, less a 10% administrative fee to cover the cost of processing and scheduling the order.
Cancelling after research or drafting has started
Once we've begun research or a first draft, cancelling means the deposit (or the payment made so far, if paid in full) is retained as a kill fee — it covers the time already committed to your project. Anything paid beyond that point is refunded.
Cancelling after the first draft is delivered
Once a first draft has been delivered, the full package price is due, whether or not you decide to proceed further — the work itself has been completed to that stage.
Delivery timelines and delays on your side
Turnaround times are published on every package and start from the working day we have everything we need from you (see /process/ for what that includes). If a project goes more than 30 days without a response from you during a revision round, we may need to re-scope or re-price the remaining work rather than hold the slot indefinitely.
Monthly retainers
Retainer packages (Newsletter Retainer, Content Pack, Authority Pack, Social Month, Bilingual Retainer) run monthly and can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice to support@copywritercircle.com. There's no minimum term beyond that notice period.
Ownership and rights
Full economic rights in the delivered copy transfer to you once the final invoice is paid — this is what "delivery" means in the sections above. Until then, the copy remains ours. copywritercircle keeps no usage rights beyond an opt-out portfolio mention, and the moral rights a French author holds in their own work stay with the writer regardless, as French law requires.
Right of withdrawal (individual consumers)
If you order as an individual rather than a business, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under French consumer law. Because most projects start before that window closes, checkout asks individual clients to expressly waive it for work they've asked us to begin immediately (Code de la consommation, art. L221-25). Without that waiver, work doesn't start until the 14 days have passed.
Late payment (business clients)
An unpaid business invoice accrues statutory late-payment interest from its due date, plus a fixed €40 recovery indemnity for collection costs, under Article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Write to support@copywritercircle.com with your order reference. We confirm what's refundable within 2 business days and process any refund to the original payment method.
